How to book a tour

Booking a tour with MYK Kyoto tours is easy!

Simple Booking Process

Browse our tours. Once you find a tour that you like, follow our 3-step process:

  1. Enter your information into the booking inquiry form. Tell us when you will come to Japan, how many people will be joining your tour and what interests you.
  2. Once your booking inquiry is received, one of our associates will reach you by email. We will confirm the tour, guide, price, and any options (such as dining or additional activities)
  3. A bill will be sent to you by email and you can pay online. We accept a wide variety of payment methods, including American Express, JCB, Mastercard and Visa credit cards.

We will meet you on the tour date at the proposed location.

All email exchanges will be from our English-speaking staff, and all of our guides can speak English.

Are tours pet-friendly?
Although tours are not typically pet-friendly, some options are available. Please contact us and tell us about your pet!
What if I'm late?
Your guide will be waiting at the designated meeting location, however if you have been delayed by 20 minutes or more, please contact us. We can be reached locally at 075-252-6636 or by email at info@mykjpn.co.jp
How will I recognize my guide?
Your guide will be assigned in advance, and their photos are online. Your guide will be carrying a MYK flag on a stick at the designated meeting location.
Can I change my tour?
Yes, with 2 weeks’ notice, we can change parts of your tour.
What is your cancellation policy?
You can cancel a tour after booking a tour:

  • If cancelled more than 2 days in advance of a tour, a 30% administrative fee will be deducted from the return
  • If cancelled the day before a tour, a 50% administrative fee will be deducted from the return
  • If cancelled on the day of the tour, no refund will be issued.
Are the tours child-friendly?
Tours can be catered towards children, but please mention if you have children accompanying you in advance. Our guides may suggest some alternate venues that are more child-friendly.
Can I pay by cash?
We don’t accept cash. However, we use Square and other secure payment services to process our payments online. We accept a wide variety of credit and debit cards, including American Express.
Are there any hidden fees?
No, all fees are disclosed. If food or activities are an additional cost, we will ensure this is clearly disclosed before sending an invoice.
